All departments are strutured within a multidisciplinary environment. Every care unit has a ward doctor.
The team consists of a large number of professionals : social workers occupational therapist, physiotherapists, speech therapists, psychologists and neuro psychologists, bandagers, physical trainers, educators and teachers.
There is treatment both at the bed side and in specific departments : leisure room, functional ergo therapy, pre-professional ergotherapy (today specifically focussed on informatics), hydrotherapy, individual and group physiotherapy, school, library, sport facilities (A.S.C.T.R.), centre for prothesis, orthesis and wheelchairs.
For therapeutical reasons a wide range of leisure activities are organised (karting, cinema…). Each activity organised has a therapeutic goal (shopping, swimming…).
There is also an outpatient consulting service offering career advice.
* ASCTR (Association Sportive du CTR – Sports association of the CTR) was the basis for the creation of the Belgian Sport Federation for Disabled Persons that contributed to the organisation of the paralympics.
